“Just around the Corner . . .” is a phrase that many who have followed Fr John through the streets of Rome will recognise. This book is a collection of some of those corners, told through the walks and memories he has shared with pilgrims whilst guiding them around the city.
Fr John Daley joined the Institute of Charity and spent four years of his studies for the priesthood in Rome during the 1960’s, a time of excitement and change in the Catholic Church. He was based at the Rosminian College, Porta Latina, and took full advantage of the opportunity to explore the Eternal City. Over the years he has returned with many pilgrim groups, enthralling them with his knowledge and enthusiasm of a city swathed in myth, history, religion, culture and story.
