- The title "Smiles and Sighs" takes its theme from the selection of verses on these notecard. Some offer humour while others share a prayer or poem to inspire or give comfort, and the reverse of each card is left blank to allow for a personal greting to be written. This poem was written for his mother by Fr Shay Cullen (PREDA Foundation) shortly after her death. He was preaching an appeal from St Joseph’s parish (home of the Watermead Apostolate) when the ‘Smiles and Sighs’ series was in preparation and gifted us these words - his very personal reflection. The words will have empathy for anyone who needs to acknowledge the love of a mother. Suitable for many occasions.
