- The title "Smiles and Sighs" takes its theme from the selection of verses on these notecard. Some offer humour while others share a prayer or poem to inspire or give comfort, and the reverse of each card is left blank to allow for a personal greting to be written. A version of this ‘Don’t Quit’ poem was on the notice board of a school music room referring to the perseverance needed to master a musical instrument – especially the voice. As suggested in the “Little Saints” picture there can be many interpretations of this much-needed encouragement. We also produce this poem in our Laminated A4 Thoughts series.
