- The title "Smiles and Sighs" takes its theme from the selection of verses on these notecard. Some offer humour while others share a prayer or poem to inspire or give comfort, and the reverse of each card is left blank to allow for a personal greting to be written. ‘Just for Today’ is the encouragement prayer of Alcoholics Anonymous and is published with their permission. The wording of the prayer is relevant to many situations where people are trying to re-evaluate and change their personal outlook on life.
