The title "Smiles and Sighs" takes its theme from the selection of verses on these notecard. Some offer humour while others share a prayer or poem to inspire or give comfort, and the reverse of each card is left blank to allow for a personal greting to be written. ‘Death is nothing at all – I have only slipped way into the next room…’ is a familiar and popular reading for those who are bereaved and has been published by many people.
